FIGARO went to the front at once and, showing a fine turn, of speed, soon, drew into a good lead and was never in danger thereafter. HEATHER TIME improved her position in the stretch under urging and was going strongly at the end to best DEAR DIARY The latter took a forward position early, but could never threaten the winner and faltered near the end. TEA MERCHANT was fractious at the post, but broke well and raced gamely. BOSCA was shut off soon after the start and bore out on the stretch turn. PORT O PAL, CRYSTAL LOU and FAIR KALEH were in close quarters right after the start; GORDO GRANDE brokt slowly. CHARING had some early speed. Scratched 56190 Miss Loan, 111. PRINCE HEATHER, forwardly placed in the early running, caught BOSWORTH entering the final eighth and, going well to the end, won .under pressure. BOSWORTH, well up from the start, was sent to the front around the stretch turn and, saving ground thereafter, raced gamely to the end. MERINA, probably best, was in close quarters several times, but came to the outside in the stretch and was going fastest of all at the end. DEL1NE BANK displayed good early speed, but was in rather tight quarters an eighth out whiU racing next to the rail. FARQUHAR closed much ground in the final quarter. SON OF DAY, off well, sprinted to the front early and, after being given a breathing spell on the back stretch, drew away and was well in hand at the finish. TISTRUE was in close quarters several times, but made up ground to finish fast next, to the rail and was probably best. MUMSIE was unable to keep up with the early leaders, but came gamely, .through the stretch. HARVEY G. O. made a strong move after entering the stretch, but hung near the finish. CHIEF YEOMAN was shut off on the first turn, then raced up strongly on the back stretch, but was used up from his early efforts. PREVARICATE was through after going three-quarters. GAY WORLD raced in four bandages and tired after being a contender for half the distance. GAY MANNERS was in close quarters on the inside in the early running. XENOGRA and BILL BANE were shut off rounding the first turn and the latter was badly cut behind and pulled up lame. Overweight Cinar, 2 pounds. Corrected weight Bill Banc, 112. PHLOX was outrun a trifle in the early stages, but came fast on the outside in the stretch to finish well. BLACK HIGHBROW was in close quarters while racing on the inside in the early running, but came gamely through the stretch. SKY O BLUE was well up from the start, but was tiring at the finish. COSETTE loomed up dangerously around the stretch turn when she saved ground, but she tired near the finish. LT. GREENOCK made up some ground, but was never dangerous. The others could not keep up.
