FILLY PROVES A REPEATER Dog Flower Registers Second Bowi Victory in Fuss Farm Purse. Inclement Weather Prevails at Princr Georges Park Again Favorites Continue To Win at Meeting. BOWIE, Md., April 8.-Dog Flower regisr tered her second victory in as many public appearances when she romped to a four-length triumph in the Fuss Farm Purse, the six furlongs event for filly three-year-olds, which featured this afternoons sport at Prince Georges Park. Over a track deep in mud, the Millsdale miss galloped the distance in 1:15, to register with speed to spare. The field was well spread out at the end, with Torchlight the only one to offer the winneit a serious argument, in second place, six lengths in advance of Hazel Nut. The successful daughter of Bull Dog and Chic Flora, which started her Bowie campaign a maiden, came in for plenty of support over five rivals. She went to the post a 17 to 20 choice, the third of that sort during the afternoon, and the second to register. It also was the fourth score of the session by Tony Pelleteri, conditioner of the Millsdale thoroughbreds. WEATHER BAD. Once more atrocious weather prevailed, for the sport, a steady fall of rain cutting heavily into the attendance, which again was extremely light. However, form was well ob- served in the majority of dashes, continuing the meetings excellent average of successful choices. Dog Flower broke off stride, but Corbett sent her up rapidly on the outside to be in closest attendance to Torchlight when the half mile grourid was reached. Then he steadied the daughter of Bull Dog to the turn for home, where he sent her up smartly on the outside to wear down the pacemaker with slight difficulty, however, the veteran took no chances and let her run right down, to the winning post. The score gave him a double for the day. one he inaugurated with Galon Boy. Petit Jean, though he showed scant liking for the mud at Hialeah Park, favors the sort offered by the Bowie oval. This was indicated in the initial six furlongs where he drove to a length and a half victory over Affirmation, with the, even money choice, Bryonin, in third place, a similar margin, away. The Jean Valjean Tesuque gelding was outpaced early but circled the field swiftly once the home stretch was reached to win going away under a strong ride from Wright. GALON BOY WINS. Galon Boy did not score as impressively as in his first of the meeting, but he was capable enough to pack 126 pounds and race to a length triumph in the six furlongs of the second. Closest to him at the end was the New Orleans campaigner Jadaan, with the pacemaking Sheknows in third place, a length and a half farther away. The GonfalonGnome Girl gelding was a heavily supported choice at even money. Braving Danger, making his first appearance since campaigning at Santa Anita, was stout enough to pack 123 pounds to an easy victory in the mile and seventy yards of the third race. The six-year-old son of Crusader, which races for A. C. Compton, was throwing plenty of mud at his rivals from the furlong pole to the stand, passing the judges- six lengths in front of Story Time, with Acautaw another pair of lengths away. The Mary-lander was the second choice to register, paying 19 to 20. Braving Dangers victory marked the twenty-fifth winner of 1938 saddled by H. G. Bedwell, and his sixth of the meeting. He now leads all rival American trainers. Blox, making his first appearance under the silks of W. Zakoor, drove to a length and a half victory in the mile and a sixteenth claimer for. three-year-olds, which was fourth on the program. An outsider, Standard Time, was pressing him closely at the end, with the odds-on favorite, Lovick, a well-beaten third, four lengths away. The Last Reveille Witch Broom gelding left the post a trifle slowly, but went to the leaders with a rush once straightened away on the far. side of the track, to gain a commanding ad-" vantage leaving that lane. He continued steadily to hold the others safe for the balance of the trip.
