WRITERS PROTEST TAX DENVER, Colo., April 8 Members of the Colorado Authors League have issued a protest against a recently enacted state law requiring a 2 per cent surtax on royalties. In voicing their objections, leaders stated that it would be very easy to move the writing industry to another state. It contended that probably 100 writers, many with a national reputation, would leave the state, if subjected to "double taxation."
