1 LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES $ e Robert McGarvey, trainer of the Milky Way Farm, has indicated that establishment would be represented in full force at Lincoln Fields this spring. McGarvey has made reservations for forty stalls. Thirteen of the Valdina Farms horses of Emerson F. Woodward, Texas owner and breeder, were sent from here to Lexington by trainer J. J. Flanigan to await the opening of the season at Keeneland. Woodward, who had been in Louisville for some time, also went to Lexington. The horses Flanigan shipped to Keeneland were Valted, Valdina, Eagle Pass, Lassator, Holton, Range Dust, Blue Su, Flying Monica, Wafer, Vividity, Viragin, Detained and Boulder. The Valdina Farms still has ten head at Churchill Downs. C. Hyde Smith arrived from Hot Springs and took charge of the Oddesa Farms stable, part of which had been here for some time and the remainder of which came in several days ago from Oaklawn Park. Smith intends to ship six of his string to Keeneland next week. Those he plans to send to the Lexington track are the crack juvcsnile filly Oddesa Beulah, Oddesa Lady, Oddesa Pride, Oddesa Girl and two which he will select later. Jesse Spencer, Kentucky horseman, is expected here next Tuesday from Tropical Park with the horses he campaigned in Florida during the winter. They are Our Willie, a nominee for several stakes at Churchill Downs; Sweet Tone, Anacreon, Long Face and Good King. Spencer plans to take up six more upon his arrival. Jockeys Melvin Calvert and .Robert Montgomery were among the latest riders to check in at Churchill Downs. L. V. Bellew Jr. has made reservations for five horses he plans to transfer here from Lexington. They are Lady Genie, Red Rogue, Miss Webb, Gay May and Lignum Vitae. !
