ARMOR BEARER, well handled and under hustling tactics from the start, wore down ALUP nearing the final eighth and drew clear under strong hand riding. ALUP, hustled to the front, was unable to draw clear, responded to strong urging before relinquishing the lead, but tired in the last stages. FOUNTAIN HEAD raced wide while improving his position and finished well. DON MOSS, in close quarters after going five-sixteenths, held on under strong urging. IMPERIAL SCOUT was outrun. The latter moved up fast after going a quarter, but hung slightly nearing the finish. GRACE WHISK, a strong factor from the start but forced wide at the turn, tired thereafter. FAY D., unprepared at the start, closed, with a rush. BLUE STAR failed to keep up. GRAPE VINE showed an even effort. GAY JANE dropped back soon after the start and showed little. HO, away slowest of all and outrun for a half mile, improved his position through the field and finished strongly. PETES NIECE tired after improving her position on the outside.
