DARBY DEAN saved ground while outrun through the first half, responded readily when hard urged in the drive and, after disposing of the leaders, drew clear. WISE FIRE, a forward factor from the start, bore out badly through the final three-eighths and could not withstand the winner. MISTLETOE raced to the front early, set the pace to the last eighth and faltered. BURSTON MANOR came to the inside entering the stretch, but could not better his position under good handling. OZARK finished fast after starting slowly. PATROL FLIGHT was never dangerous. QUERO GREENOCK could not keep up. FOUR RINGS tired after racing forwardly placed through the first half. GINOMERICA went to the front early, held on well under good handling and withstood TIMOCRACY. The latter secured a good position soon after the start, lost ground when carried out by BUNNY PAIR entering the stretch, then finished strongly when clear. BUNNY PAIR forced the pace for three-eighths, but drifted out through the stretch and lost all chance. K. SUGAR ROLL, slow to begin and outrun to the stretch, closed fast to give a good effort. LADY REBECCA could not better her position when hard urged in the drive. FLINTEE had no mishaps. FAIR GEORGIA had a rough trip. TOP RUNG, never far back, came determinedly when hard urged in the stretch and was up to dispose of GINGALL in the closing strides. The latter came to the inside for the drive and took a brief lead between calls after SONNY CASEY faltered, but could not withstand the winner. SONNY CASEY followed in closest pursuit of the pacemaker through the First half mile and took command when settled for the drive, but tired near the finish. TORANTAL could not better her position under good handling and had no mishaps. SMALL WONDER finished strongly. The latter reached the lead on the final turn, suffered interference when MISTER BIG carried her wide in the drive and then finished resolutely when clear. PINK GAL, never a great distance back, could not better her position when hard urged in the final quarter. MISTER BIG made a bold bid approaching the stretch, but bore out badly thereafter and failed to recover. SHUT EYE got to the front between calls on the final turn and then faltered. CENTURY NOTE saved ground while in. hand through the first half mile, responded readily when called upon and, after disposing of SHORTENING in the stretch, held FAIRMOND safe. The latter went to the front at once, then opened up a long lead, but went wide entering the stretch, then closed determinedly when straightened. SHORTENING, on the inside while outrun to the stretch turn, moved up boldly in the drive, but could not retain her advantage while under punishment. WAR BUGLE raced in closest pursuit of FAIRMOND to the final turn, then bolted to the outside rail, losing all chance. QUARTERBACK was never a serious factor. Scratched— 21035 Allessandro, 110. NAVY CROSS established a clear lead soon after the start, responded to a shaking up entering the stretch and won with something left. TAKE AWAY, in tight quarters to the final turn, moved up determinedly thereafter, but could not get to the winner. HOOSIER faltered after racing forwardly placed through the first half. TOTAL VICTORY finished well in a good effort and had no mishaps. AMYS THIRD, on the inside throughout, failed to respond when hard urged in the drive. CAPTAIN ZAC had a rough trip. OUR WILLIE improved his position steadily through the first three-quarters, took command when settled in the stretch and withstood a vigorous drive to hold HO DOWN safe. The latter went to the front with a rush near the upper turn, then held on gamely in the final quarter, but was not good enough for the winner, just missing. STROMBUS, well placed and a forward factor throughout, could not better his position when hard urged in the drive. DALLASITE went evenly and had no mishaps. SATIN ROLLS tired after three-quarters. PERAGRA was unable to threaten. BROWN STREET went to the front early, but gave way suddenly after the first half mile.
