Falsettos Success in Stud LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 1.— Falsetto was not good enough to win the Kentucky Derby in 1879, bowing to Lord Murphy. He did prove himself a most valuable sire after being retired to stud and begot Chant, His Eminence and Sir Huon, all of whom were Derby winners. Falsetto was the oldest stallion to produce a victor in the annual three-year-old test as he was 30 years of age when Sir Huon accounted for the 1906 Kentucky Derby renewal.
