SAVINGS BANK went to the front in the first sixteenth, drew away into a good lead and had enough m reserve to stave off the gamely-going SKEETER. The latter, slow to start and outrun for the first three-eighths, moved up on the inside nearing the stretch and was catching the winner at every stride at the end. UNA H. went forwardly throughout. PARFAIT AMOUR closed a good gap while racing on the outside. UGIN, quickest to start, was unable to keep up. SPEEDY BOOGER was unable to engage the leaders. UNIMOND moved up midway of the turn, then began dropping back. JACK FLY. never a great distance back while holding to a position on the outside, responded eamely to brisk handling and was along in the closing stride. SHERLOCK forced the pace, disposed of BUCKETS for command and, fighting it out stubbornly, just missed. BUCKETS displayed speed and continued willingly after havine been overtaken. INACTIVE, hard ridden to keep up, was unable to reach the leaders in the drive. WANTARUN closed much ground. SPARROW CHIRP was unable to reach the leaders. PARADING, slow to start, was hard ridden to gain a contending position in the first half, then dropped back. JACKINTHEBOX faltered after a brief display of earlv speed. DARING FEAT, quickest to begin, surrendered the lead to MANIPULATE midway of the turn and responded eamely on the inside after straightening out in the stretch and was along in the closing seventy yards. MANIPULATE, hustled to the front and showing keen speed, drew into a good lead, but tired in the last seventy yards and was unable to stave off the bid of the winner. GRAUSTARK, permitted to settle in stride without being hurried during the early running, began moving up in the last three eighths and, responding gamely to hard riding in the stretch, wore down TIME OWAR to draw clear nearing the close. TIME OWAR displayed good speed, met stubborn early opposition from LEADING ACTOR, disposed of him, but was unable to cope with the winner. STRAW HAT, well placed, held on well to the end. BONHEUR was outrun. LEADING ACTOR showed speed in disputing the pace, tiring in the last three-sixteenths. PRIMA DONNA was outrun. Overweieht — Prima Donna, 1 pound. SIXTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. JAY STEVENS, avoiding the early pace, began working his way up on the outside in the last half, wore down GOLD TEDDY after straightening out in the stretch and increased his advantage steadily at the close. GOLD TEDDY, rated along back of the pace, moved up stoutly nearing the far turn, took command when called upon, drew clear and, while under pressure, was unable to cope with the bid of the winner. FANCY FREE, reserved early, closed willingly in the closing drive. ARESTINO passed tiring horses through the stretch. ROUGH TIME showed good speed in pacemaking, but tired after going three-quarters. NEDDIES HERO, in nearest pursuit of the pace and under occasional urging to hold to his position, gained a short lead over BUBBLE LIL in the stretch and outlasted the latter under punishment through the last eighth. BUBBLE LIL outran her filed to the first turn, was rated along under slight restraint and fought it out determinedly to the close. CONQUEROR II., on the outside, moved up through the back stretch and held on eamely to the end.-PARI-ERNEST, forwardly placed from the start, was unable to close any. ground in the final drive. PETER ARGO made up some ground. JUNCO was unable to enter into serious contention. BATTERY had speed, faltering in the last five-sixteenths. SHIPS BELLS went to the front going to the first turn, withstood repeated bids from CIRCUS WINGS and SCROOGE and drew out through the last eighth. FRENCH TRAP began moving up on the outside approaching the far turn and. coming to the outside in the stretch, outlasted SCROOGE, although unable to reach the winner. SCROOGE was prominent from the start, saved ground throughout and held on willingly to the end. DIAVOOL CLIFF, outrun through the back stretch, worked his way into a contendine position, but was unable to reach the leaders in the final drive. GRANDIOSO made up some ground. CIRCUS WINGS tired.
