Nine Will Oppose Vinum In Sportsmans Feature Shifty Son of St. James Seeks Second Straight Local Victory CICERO, 111., May 1.— Vinum, a five-year-old gelding from the racing establishment of Endovina and Terry will attempt to . make it two in a row when he faces the starter in the Sportsmans Park Handicap in tomorrow afternoons feature event. The son of St. James and Bright Wine will compete in this event against nine other starters at the seven-furlong route for a purse of ,300 value. The Endovina and Terry colorbearer has been a very consistent performer here at this half-mile oval and will be asked to pack top weight of 113 pounds. In his last race where he finished five lengths in front of Ballinderry and Vegas Justice at the same distance, Vinum appeared to have plenty left at the finish. Another starter in the headliner for the Saturday program is Three Clovers from th stable of R. G. Whittington. This four-yeur-old gelding is the winner of his only start at this meeting in which he won the second end of the opening-day feature, the Inaugural. Three Clovers finished a length and a half in front of Vinum.
