Alger Memorial Handicap will headline an attractive eight-race program at the Detroit Fair Grounds tomorrow. Supporting attractions on the card include the ,000 Decoration Day Handicap and the ,500 Juvenile Purse. Horses three years old and upward will compete in the Decoration Day and the Alger, while two-year-olds will vie for honors in the Juvenile. Race at Mile and Sixteenth Thirteen good routers were named overnight to contest the one mile and a sixteenth Alger Memorial, and racing secretary and handicapper Charles F. Henry has assigned equal top weight imposts of 119 pounds to Galbreath and Diensts Best Seller, along with Coward and Dupuys Marriage. Best Seller, who recently annexed the Governors Handicap at Beulah Park, is expected to rule as one of the choices for the test. Others in the probable field include Mrs. H. P. Bonners entry of Valdina Paul and Vegas Justice, the Brown Hotel Stables Miss Glamour, H. H. Haags improved De- value, Harry C. Richards Exploded, Smith G. Baker, Sr.s Meggy, Wexler and Shagrins Red Dock, Mrs. J. B. Burnsteins Ship Bis- cuit, winner in his last local start; R. G. Whittingtons Three Clovers, and Tall Trees Stables Ball Player. The Decoration Day Handicap drew the entries of eight of the fleetest sprinters on the grounds and they will meet at six furlongs. Joseph W. Browns New Or- leans-owned T. M. Dorsett, victor in a division of the Boots and Saddle Handicap here one week ago, has been assigned the post of honor with an impost of 115 pounds. Next in the estimation of Henry, is Beezley and Cohens Samborombon and the South American-bred racer is asked to contest under 112 pounds. Completing the field for the Decoration Day Handicap are Harry C. Richards Designator, Miss Ruth Sidells Displayer, Double H Ranchs Stalking, Coward and Dupuys Exemplify, Mrs. Edward McCuans Fairly Fly, and M. Wexlers Boy Angler. Seven in Juvenile Purse The Juvenile will match seven of the better youngsters quartered at the Motor City oval at four and a half furlongs, and the event should provide a line on the two-year-old division. The Tall Trees Stable of Mrs. Frank Navin, will be represented by Sea Marriage and Cahors, Miss Mary Fishers silks will be carried by Shiny Penny, and Kenneth Murchisons Khamcia is named to start. The Brown Hotel Stables Trustee and George Khrehbiels homebred colt, Golden Man, will complete the field for the dash. Trustee, winner of the Debutante Stakes at the recent Churchill Downs meeting, is considered one of the best of her sex, and her meeting tomorrow with Golden Man, winner of his last two starts, is creating much interest here. Golden Man defeated Trustee in the Bugle Call Purse here May 23, but the Brown Hotel filly lost much ground in that race, and her effort tomorrow is expected to be an improved one. The initial offering on the holiday program will match nine good platers at one mile and one-eighth, the second, third and fourth races will be decided at six furlongs, and the finale will bring together eight sturdy routers at one mile and a sixteenth.
