SECOND CASE, having good early speed, stayed close to the pacemaker to the final eighth, then, under urging, took command and, under continued pressure, lasted to win narrowly. SAN LOYAL, a forward factor from the start, closed gamely while racing on the outside in the last sixteenth. PERSIAN FOX was hustled to the front at once and set the pace to the final eighth, then tired when challenged. MARVELS PRIDE was never able to get up. The others w:ere never serious factors. CHICWIN, outrun early, moved up strongly on the outside entering the final turn and, under mild pressure in the last sixteenth, came on to win going away. BUTMENT, always within striking distance of -the leaders, closed swiftly between horses after reaching the stretch and was going gamely at the end. TUMBLEWEED was rushed into the lead soon after the start andset the pace to midway of the final eighth, then tired. SARADARENA showed good early speed, then tired near the end. AUNT PET raced evenly. Won easily; second and third driving. MY TET RAMBLER took command at once, drew away into a long lead rounding the turn and, under mild urging, came on to win by a wide margin. MISS ADVICE, slow to settle into stride, closed strongly on the outside in the final eighth and got up in the last few strides to get the place narrowly. ENO-HEATHER, having good early speed, was in closest, pursuit of the winner to midway of the stretch, then tired. LOCKED DOOR raced evenly. The othe-s were never in a rontending position. C. C. CURTISS, slow to settle into stride, closed swiftly in the last eighth, but was not good enough. WARINGA, well back in the early stages, closed stoutly after coming to the inside entering the stretch. RED CHALK raced evenly. WHISTLING BOY, well up earlv, tired when pressed rounding the stretch turn. TERMAN raced tip with the pace to the last eighth, then "tired. CHARLIE BRYANT had some early speed. BAGGALA, well back in the first half, closed some ground while racing on the inside entering the last eighth. CHIEFJEAN raced evenly and was never a serious threat.
