Won ridden out; second and. third driving. LADY REBECCA, alertly handled, took command early, opened up a good. lead, but had to be ridden out to withstand TIME WAS. . The latter, well placed and a forward factor from the start, came out slightly entering the stretch and Finished fast under punishment, but could not reach the winner. AIR CORPS tired after forcing the pace for three-eighths. PLAYFUL PAL raced evenly and had no mishaps. STEEL QUEEN finished strongly. PLUCKY TEDDY raced greenly. VIEJO could not keep up. DEAD LEVEL saved ground when outrun for a half mile, came through on the inside for the drive and, after wearing down the leaders, drew clear. HADATIME, much used engaging MEDIA LUNA to the stretch, faltered when hard urged in the final eighth. PICKET LINE raced evenly throughou tand had no mishaps. MEDIA LUNA raced to the front before going a quarter, set the pace to the final eighth and gave way. GET GOOD was never dangerous. RED HORIZON was always outrun. BROWN BOMB saved ground when outrun through the first half mile, responded readily when called upon and, after wearing down the leaders in the stretch, drew out to win as his rider pleased. CATALONIA, in hand while racing within striking distance of the leader to the stretch, came determinedly when roused for. the drive, but was no match for the winner. ALBINO raced in closest pursuit of BUFFLEHEAD to the final eighth, then gave way. BUFFLE-HEAD -went to the front early and set the pace until inside the stretch, then quit suddenly. JIMMY W. was never dangerous. STAND IN was done after three-quarters. REIGH ME could not keep up. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. The latter, never far back, came io the inside for the drive and reached the lead, when the winner bore out, but could not retain her advantage under strong handling. OVALA forced the pace for three-quarters, then failed to respond when hard urged in the stretch. WISE DUKE lacked early speed and was never a threat. WICKET was outrun throughout and had no excuses.
