GIRLETTE went to the front in the opening strides and. after racing MAD BUNNY into defeat, staved off bids from HEARTS ENTWINE to win drawing clear. The latter, racing on the outside and forwardly placed, continvied willingly to the end. EIGHT AND SIX, reserved early, moved up in the last five sixteenths ancT finished with good energy. TATTNALL STAR closed some ground SNlMV MOON, prominent early, was unable to keep up under pressure. DAINTY FORD was unable to engage the leaders. MARJORIE S., steadied along in nearest pursuit of the pace established by FLYING BONNY, responded gamely in the stretch and, wearing down the leaders, was slowly increasing her advantage at the end. FLYING BONNY showed speed from the Start and, opening up a good lead, was rated along under slight restraint, but was unable to cope with the bid of the winner. SUN IVY was unable to keep up early, but began moving up on the inside and finished with good energy through the last five-sixteenths. BLUE LEONA, well placed throughout, failed to threaten in the drive. UPDO was unable to better her position under hard riding. KIMESHA was never a threat. LITTLE SUZANNE tired. VALDINA VALONA moved up gamely when rounding from the back stretch and, responding gamely to hard riding, wore down the leaders in the closing sixteenth. GRACE TAMM responded gamely under hard urging and finished with good energy-through the stretch run. CLING, in closest pursuit of PATCH PARTY during the first three eighths, was unable to better her position through the final eighth. ANIZGOCE, shuffled back at the star* Ved up steadily thereafter, but was forced to go from the inside to the outside in the stretch to | »»m, then finished willingly. BUD WEST, hustled to the front, withstood a bid from SUNAMIT and had enough in reserve to hold the fast closing RENRAW safe. The latter, unable to keep pare early, closed in stubborn fashion through the stretch. CAB SIR, away quickly, lacked speed to keep pace, but closed willingly in the final drive. LEOS GIRL, a forward factor while racing on the outside, was unable to keep pace through the final eighth. SUNAMIT moved up stoutly Hearing the stretch turn, but was unable to make up ground and tired in the drive. LIGHT SANDWICH was outrun. GLORIOUS SEC was outrun. Claimed — Cab Sir by S. L. "VICTORY DRIVE, taken back when in close quarters on the back stretch, moved up steadily when gaining racing room and closed with good energy. GUN SITE, away slowly and a trailer until leaving the back stretch, closed ground steadily in the last three eighths. SUGAR DADY II. failed to threaten. GONDALINA had speed from the start and. holding DENSE PATH in close quarters after rounding the first turn, retained a position on the outside, then moved up in the last three eighths to take command in the last eighth. DENSE PATH, forced to take up when in close quarters after rounding the first turn, found clear sailing on the inside soon after straightening on the back stretch and wore down ARTHUR MURRAY to eain a short lead, but was unable to cope with the winners bid. ARTHUR MURRAY raced forwardly all the way but was unable to keep pace in the last quarter mile. SHORTENING made up some ground. CHALLOMINE had brief early speed. SHARP REWARD, under steadying restraint while racing on the outside, fought it out gamely but was not quite eood enough. CAL VERT closed some ground after trailing eaily. The latter, racing on the outside and prominently placed while under snug restraint, responded gamely in the stret-h and was slowly wearing down the winner at the end. MILK ROUTE, a trailer until reaching the last quarter, saved ground on the stretch turn and finished with good energy. PRIORITY was unable to reach the leaders and tiied in the last sixteenth. ALHALON was never a threat. GOLD BILL tired after showing early speed. Scratched— 42424 Speedway, 112; 42607 Hard Bargain, 104.
