New England Notes SUFFOLK DOWNS, Boston, Mass., June 21. Frank Kearns has returned the plater Manamaid to New York. He augmented the New England division of the string being campaigned by A. Caracci with the arrival from the Metropolitan circuit of Park Bench and Grand Party. Sea Reigh, second in the Betsy Ross Stakes, along with Canto Gallo, a half brother of Alsab, have been returned to Aqueduct. George C. Wideners Vitta, third in the filly stake Saturday, has also been returned to New York. Phil Mecklenburg has sent the plater Belmar Arra to Montreal for a campaign on the Quebec circuit. Former jockey Frank Kurinec, now employed by Glen Felkner, was passing out the cigars, having become the father of a baby boy. The happy event took place in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital at Attleboro, Mass. Both mother and youngster are doing fine. Trainer F. C. Travis shipped Lucky Ed to Webbs Farm near Charles Town, W. Va., to be turned out. R. Curley has added Walter Raleigh to his string at Suffolk Downs. The plater was vanned from Narragansett Park. War Melody has been sent to Cannaday Farm at Sparks, Md., to be turned out. Pat Fringe purchased Paper Plate from Sam Garfield at private terms. This plater, along with Alibi Babe and Mister Billy, have been shipped to Montreal. M. Katz has taken over Dark Velvet to train. Joe Serio, Jr. has sent E. K. Bryson a Lees Jacopo and Marion Menow to Med-field Farm at Dover, Mass., to be turned out.
