ALAN F., alertly handled, took command at once and, shaking off repeated bids by ARIEL IMAGE, retained his advantage to the finish. The latter a sharp factor from the start, came determinedly when hard urged in the stretch, but was unable to overhaul the winner. EQUAL CHANCE, never far back, finished tesolutely on the fnside. CONTEMPLATION raced evenly to the final eighth, then faltered, but gave a good effort. SPORTSMAN tired after the opening quarter and lost ground steadrlv thereafter. THREE ROSES was unable to better her position under good handling. SATELLITE raced evenly. MAR IORIE K. lacked early speed. LIGHT FROST could not keep tip. SECOND RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. DARBY DUCAT saved ground while racing within striking distance of the leaders to the final quarter, came between horses entering the stretrh and finished stronely. WAR SHY went to the front approaching the stretch, held a clear lead when settled for the drive, but tired Hearing the finish. MATTIE SUE raced forwardly placed to midway in the stretch and then eave way. GOLD BETTY could not keep up when called on in the stretch. WAR WISE, in close quarters early, failed to threaten when clear. PLAYFUL PAL, on the outside from the start, could not reach serious contention. SIDE ORDER had brief early speed. SQUEEZE THRU raced to the front early and. settma the pace for three -eighths, held on determinedly thereafter, but w.-.s not good enough. PATSY T., outrun to the stretrh. came between horses on the final turn and closed gamely. SCOTS BELLE faltered near the finish. HIT TUNE, racing on the inside, could not threaten when called upon in the last quarter. OLES GAL raced evenly. DUOLC raced wide throughout. GORNIL beean slowly. GOLDEN EBONY, close up early, wai caught in lose quaiteis near the three-eighths post and had to be taken up sharply, thereby losing all chance. The latter went to the front at the start and established a i tear lead, but was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner in the stretch run. WAVECAP, never far back, w.:s bumped slightly by KABO LEA in the stretch, but closed strongly when clear. STAR MAEDIC, racing on the outside from the start, could not better his position after sutterine slight interference in the stretch. HI-GRIP had brief early speed. FIERY JUSTICE began slowiy.
