Aletern Improved HOMEWOOD, 111., June 21.— Jack Skir-vin, trainer of the A. C. Ernst horses, said that Aletern, who bruised a heel at Hawthorne Saturday morning, is much improved today and he expressed the belief that the trouble will not interfere with his campaign at Washington Park. Aletern was withdrawn from the Lincoln Handicap at Hawthorne Saturday after having won both the Peabody Memorial and La Salle Handicaps at that track.
