Illinois Notes ARLINGTON at Washington, Home-wood, 111., June 21. B. F. Christmas is receiving nine more horses from the East and they are due momentarily. The two-year-olds, Twixt, Dog Trot and Canina arrived from Coldstream Stud to join the main division of the Coldstream Stable, which came from New York in charge of trainer Ray Kindred. Calvin P. Winfrey arrived from Pimlico with Broke, Chislam, Speedy Show, Roman Laugh, Leaving, Chevalet and Black Business. The horses are the property of Grant Thorn, Baltimore sportsman. Dr. T. Nordlander has been appointed physician for the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association. Jockey Frank Zehr, who went to Detroit to fill several engagements last Saturday, returned to accept mounts at Washington Park. Clarence E. Dale, former horseman, returned to his home in Clarence, Mo., after spending several days in Chicago. Acting for the Woolford Farm, Ross O. Higdon today sold the one time handicap-per, Technician to Guy Martin. Lon Copenhaver will train the Martin acquisition. Willard Baker today registered four horses he brought here from Mexico City. They are Stinging Bee, and Stem Winder which Baker owns himself, Gold Fancy, the property of Baker and Brooks, and Kenty Miss, owned by C. E. Underwood. J. A. Best brought two two-year-olds owned by H. H. Goldberg here from North Chicago. 111. They will be known to racing as Van Flag and OYearn. Jockey George Burns has been notified to report for his Army physicial examination on June 30. FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 21. Mrs. William Hinphy arrived from New Orleans to join her husband who is one of the leading trainers of the Fairmount Park meeting. She was accompanied by Mrs. L. Rettner. John Greener, prominent Tennessee breeder, is expected to return from his Nashville home. for the final days of the local meeting. Mrs. Bess Hammack returned to her Dallas home after visiting her sister, Mrs. T. P. Fleming. Fleming has been ordered to report to his Selective Service Board for a physical examination. Charles A. Grande loaded Rosy Brand, Ballyarnett, Riverlass, Paragram, Hot Iron, River Port and Fair Do and shipped them to Washington Park. He left Nediana, Zoic and Aunt Ellen here in charge of George "Yum Yum Dominick. The horses race under the banner of Rivermont Ranch. E. Rea has been engaged to train Wood-lark for W. Fitzgerald and Rescued for G. Longs ton. Racing secretary Richard Leigh is at work on his fourth and final issue of conditions for the Fairmount Park meeting. The new book will start with the program of June 28 and continue through July 5, the closing day of the meeting. A. LeBlanc loaded his small stable and sent it to Mt. Royal Park at Montreal, Canada. A number of horsemen plan on shipping I to the Fort Miami track this week.
