Jones, of the Calumet Farm forces, gathered at Pimlico to the extent of 34 strong, still retains designs on the Kentucky Derby with two of his three-year-old "stars," Pensive and one of the particularly capable filly team of Twilight Tear and Miss Keeneland. The latter two shipped satisfactorily from Miami and, while Jones 1 is somewhat averse to starting a filly in 1 the Derby, one or the other of these profi-i cient individuals may measure up to quali-■r fications necessary to engage colts. Pensive injured himself slightly some ■ time ago and Jones has been forced to run t the colt in bar plates. This perchance may r bring about forfeiture of a Derby chance. However, the amiable Missourian passes 5 off the Derby with the comment: "If we - have anything that measures up to that I requirement well be in Louisville May 6.
