Hooper. Ten horses belonging to Lt. G. H. "Pete" Bostwick, were quartered here this morning * by Frank Slate. They arrived from Aiken, s.c. H. E. He is stationed at Camp Robinson, Ark. Ralph "Lefty" Wilhelm will handle jockey Frank Zehrs and apprentice Wilbur Ru-derts riding engagements. Zehr has given first call on his services to trainer Jimmy McGee. Rudert was recently rejected for military duty. Lightweight Porter Roberts was an addition to the riding colony. He arrived from Miami and plans to remain for the meeting. E. E. Russell has a unique combination, a horse, One Link, and a jockey, N. L. Pier-5 son. The latter will attend to the bulk of I | the riding for the Bomar Stable. | j Merpolis and Fighting Mac, both trained1 by Morris H. Dixon, were not as seriously j injured as first expected following their spill during a workout Tuesday. They will remain here. j I Roy "Happy" Gordon, for years outrider at all Maryland tracks, now confines his ! ! activities to the mutuel department. He is a member of Mort Mahonys staff here. j
