Ky., April 12.— Johnny Adams stole the spotlight from several lesser lights of the Kentucky Derby colony this morning when he visited the Oakdale course. The short legged and broad should-i ered Iola, Kansas, boy, who led the riders for the two past years, preceded the arrival of Euall Wyatt, who holds his contract. Adams has been engaged to ride Al C. Ernsts Alorter in the Blue Grass Stakes and, should The Porters offspring satisfy trainer Jack Skirvin in that nine-furlong effort, Adams will be astride him in the Derby. Otto Grohs, contract rider for John Marsch, and Jess Higley, under assignment to John M. Goode. were other arrivals. Jockeys and apprentices are checking in hourly and this department, from all indi-j cations, will be well fortified.
