Mrs. C. Smith to Sell Again LEXINGTON, Ky., June 26. Each year Mrs. Clyde Smith sends two or three thoroughbred yearlings to the summer sales, and buyers who have purchased her offerings have seldom had reason to regret their purchases. Last summer Mrs. Smith, who operates a farm at Hopkinsyille, Kentucky, sold two yearlings, a colt and a filly, in the sales at Keeneland. The colt, a son of Fighting Fox, was sold for ,200. He was later named Fighting Don and made his first start as a two-year-old at Aqueduct . on June 15, winning easily. Fighting Don started again on June 21 at the same track and again won. The colt already has earned what he cost in the sales ring, and horsemen who have seen him race and work predict he will develop into one of the best two-year-olds of 1944. Mrs. Smith is getting three more yearlings ready to sell at this years sales which start on July 31.
