I., N. Y., June 26. William Zieglers Wait a Bit, who figured in the famous triple dead heat in the recent Carter Handicap here, was a highly pleasing winner to the crowd of 21,961 turf fans 4 who came to the races at Aqueduct this afternoon. The son of Espino captured the featured Longstreet Handicap, at a mile and one-eighth by a half length from A. J. Sacketts Tola Rose, while Bopne Hall Stables former cup champion, Princequillo, was a laboring third and last, seven lengths farther back. Wait a Bit was timed a desultory 1:51, but stepped the final eighth in :12 after the trio had merely drifted out of the gate. He paid even money. All three of these horses are engaged in Saturdays 0,000 Brooklyn Handicap at a mile and a quarter and Wait a Bits finish today suggests that Matt Brady may have a strong candidate for that rich fixture. Princequillo Never in Hunt The lightly weighted Tola Rose, who was in this test with 106 pounds, receiving eight from the winner and a dozen from Princequillo, was sent to the front by Warren Mehrtens at the break and led past the clubhouse around that turn, down the backstretch and into the home lane, never more than two lengths before Wait a Bit. Meanwhile, Princequillo was an appreciable margin farther back and thrashing his tail as though unwilling to run when rated. He had been sent to the front in- his two previous races and may have come to like that style of running. Tola Rose turned into the stretch a length before Wait a Bit, but when Gayle Smith sat down to ride at the eighth pole the Ziegler colt closed with an irresistible rush and was drawing away at the end. Princequillo had no excuse, other than possible temperamental trouble. The Ahumada Handicap, secondary feature of the days program, was a horse race every foot of the six furlongs, with the field of six clever sprinters coming out of the gate on a line, and racing in a compact group for a half mile. At the wire, Mrs. Donald Woodwards Piccadilly, the favorite. C. Ernsts Alforay. Fire Warden finished six lengths farther back, only a head before Anibras, who completed this nimble field. Piccadilly paid .90, and. was timed in 1:12, Fire Warden and Swimmin Hole alternated in the lead going to the far turn, with the others all close at hand. Curving for the stretch, Piccadilly got to the front on the far outside, the field entering the home lane only heads and necks apart. Longden, who was pinch-riding for Don Meade on the favorite, kept him going with a strong ride down the stretch, and barely withstood the closing rush of Ariel Lad. The latter hung a bit when it appeared he had the race won, while Swimmin Hole also tired in the final sixteenth. Alforay did not appear to get one of Arcaros best rides. A pair of 6 to 5 favorites failed their followers in the first two races, when Mrs. Betty Seiders Lady Olga and Mrs. D. J. Schneiders Roman Governor each finished fourth. The winner of the curtain-raiser was Miss Constance Morabitos Little Milly, who ran over Lady Olga on the stretch turn, to score by two lengths, going away. Sammy Angott closed well to get second money before Test Flight, who was a length farther back. All three first past the judges in this six furlong dash were longshots, Little Milly paying 5.70, while the place price on Sammy Angott was 5.20, and the show pay-off on Test Bight was 6.90. Lady Olga came out of the race somewhat sore, while Play Dusty was reported to hav possibly fractured a sesamoid bone.
