Crenshaw, today introduced to patrons of Washington Park a new rider. He is Floyd Reutter, 18, of Evansville, Ind., and the youthful Hoosier made his first appearance in colors and in an actual race astride Reward Me, a starter in the fourth race. Jockey Anthony Skoronski, who returned to the saddle at Hawthorne following an appendectomy, is off to a fine start at Washington Park where he led the riders : with six winners during the first week of the Arlington Park meeting. Skoronski, a local boy, is with Brolite Farm. Charles Sanborn, popular trainer who lost his entire stable in the fire which claimed the lives of 31 thoroughbreds at the Detroit Fair Grounds, is here negotiating for several runners. J. G. Brown, owner of the Brown Hotel Stable and one of the larger breeders with headquarters in Jefferson County, Ky., is expected here from Louisville. Stakes engagements booked for Nick Jemas by his agent Joe Hines include Harriet Sue in the Princess Doreen and Burgoo Maid in the Matron. Allen Tipton, the former jockey who is serving with the armed forces, is on combat duty in the South Pacific, according to his latest letter to Paul Kelley. Walter K. Coleman and J. E. Mitchell, owners of the Meadow Sweet Farm near Pekin, 111., are guests of S. Bryant Ott. After riding Foxcatcher Farms Surosa in her overnight engagement here today, jockey Johnny Gilbert returned to the East. The interest P. Kay had in the horses La Marie, Little Joycie and Flying Hostess, has been acquired by F. Kohout. Educated, a four-year-old belonging to H. F. Pilarksi and trained by C. P. Bradley, will be gelded by Dr. M. F. Kent. S. B. Ott, Kentucky turfman, has taken a call on the services of jockey Steve Brooks. D. McDermid has taken over to train for F. O. Sanders the plater, Madam High. i Mrs. F. W. Fatz sold Cohortation to C. J. - Moran, who trains his own horses. : FAIRMOTJNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., , June 26. The top claim of the meeting was made Thursday. The St. Louis-owned Myrtle Maroon Stable claimed Fire Engine for ,000. Two other horses changed hands When Early Riser went to R. W. McCon-nel, while Shining Sea was taken by G. W. Jones. Both horses were entered for 00. More than satisfied with his missionary work here, R. A. Leigh, Jr., got away over the week-end for Columbus, Neb. Leigh will serve as racing secretary at the coming meeting of the Ville Platte Agricultural Society, operators of the 21-day Columbus meeting which gets under way this Saturday. R. A. Leigh, Jr., is still here in the interest of the coming 21-day meeting to be held at Columbus, Neb., beginning July 1. "Raleigh" said today he expected 200 horses to leave here for the Nebraska meeting. The three horses James Hikes brought here last week for the partnership of Bastin and Conley were returned to Chicago. In the shipment were Broadhead, Enaj and Bonsweep. R. Squires, a local owner and trainer, took out a trainers license Wednesday morning and will condition his one horse stable consisting of the Missouri-bred Bucks Pal. There are 614 horses housed at Fair-mount Park, according to a check of the registration book. Of these, 73 are two-year-olds and 101 three-year-olds. The partnership of R. and F. Kirk has announced the purchase of Bagaseen from, Roy Poole. F. Kirk will direct the training j of the horse. Town Lace has been restored to good standing by the stewards. The mare suffered a hemorrhage in her last start. D. Abbott has taken over Boss Walloper to condition for Cecil Myers. The horse . was purchased several days ago by Myers. Clyde Lipe has added Jack OHana to his list. His only other campaigner is the : veteran Manhunt. Jockey William Cassity arrived from California and was to swing into action on the Tuesday program. Squaw Jane was the only claim Saturday. The mare was. taken by the partnership of Closson and Dolan for ,500. Dan Howell, who trains a public stable consisting of 18 horses, has received confirmation of stalls at Dade Park. 1 Jockey L. Bazer departed over the week- end for Columbus, Neb." George Adams has made a request for stalls at Dade Park. E. R. Cowey has received confirmation of stall space at Dade Park.
