Detroits Feature Event Lures Seven O. K. Joe, My Tet Rambler And Frisky Spirit Are Top Members of Heineman Field DETROIT. Mich.. June 26 Tomorrow is "Ladies Day" at the Fair Grounds and. for the occasion the Heineman Purse tops the card of eight races prepared by racing secretary Charles P. Henry. The feature is listed seventh on a program of eight offerings, and it is fashioned along allowance conditions for three-year-olds and older. Seven sprinters familiar to local patrons will vie over six furlongs for the major portion of the ,500 purse. In attempting jo garner the ,800 winners share, A. and R. Craigs My Tet Rambler and K. Marleys Media Luna will each have to carry 118 pounds, top weight, according to conditions. Others entered are O. K. Joe, 112 pounds; Lazy Tongs, 115; Empty Plate, 107; Miss Militant, 107, and Frisky Spirit, 112 pounds. Should Prove Interesting Contest The fact that all entrants have beaten one another back and forth in past meetings only adds to the interest of the contest. And, consequently any one of the seven could very well prevail. However, one who is competent enough to triumph on his own merit, providing he is inclined to leave the starting gate with the rest of the field, is Lt. Com. Theodore D. Buhls O. K. Joe. This three-year-old-won his-last start and could very well repeat. However, he is rather a "problem" hazard. Therefore, it would not be surprising should My Tet Rambler and Frisky Spirit divide the bulk of the wagering support between them. The former won his first two essays here, then went up against stiffer opposition and had to bow to such as Night Crawler and on another occasion Miss Advice. But tomorrow "things may be different." The Craig representative is again in his own element. As a secondary attraction there is the Woodworth Purse, valued at ,000 and exclusively for three-year-olds and at six furlongs. Named for this sixth race are Old Silk, Count Foray, Nibble, In the Air, Young Buddy, Darby Dimout, Gallahue, Cee Raf, Valdina Cooky and Adda Pearl. High weight for the allowance number is held by G. R. Schneiders Gallahue, with 113 pounds. There is very little difference in imposts between this figure and that assigned the others, 107 pounds being the lowest amount of weight to be carried; it will be toted by Old Silk, In the Air, Valdina Cooky, and Adda Pearl. Post time for the first race is 4:30 p. m.
