TEXALITE assumed the lead at once, made the pace to the stretch under eood rating, responded to punishment in the drive and retained her advantage. ROSE-RED, outrun early, moved up fast after the initial eighth and. after securing a good position, held on gamely to the finish. CHICONA could not improve position when hard ridden through the stretch. STING LIGHTLY tired after raring prominently to the upper turn. PITTISTRAW was outrun. BROKE never was a serious factor. DUE SPORT, outrun to the stretch, saved ground on the final turn and, responding to punishment, wore down the leaders in the last eighth. FLOURTOWN assumed command early, made the pace under occasional urging and held on gamely, but could not withstand the winner. ROMAN ABBOT forced the pace to midway in the stretch, then faltered. QUEENS REWARD moved up boldly on the final turn, then failed to stay in the drive. OAKMONT could not get to the leader when hard ridden through the stretch. YLEE BAR raced prominently to the upper turn, then bore out badly, losing all chance. GINOCA was done early. Scratched— 75216 Shaheen, 116; 77896 Brandon Point, 115. Claimed — Ginoca by H. G.
