► Aqueduct to Run July 4 Program at Belmont AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 21. — Racing will be held at Belmont Park on July. 4. The management of the Queens County Jockey Club, operators of Aqueduct race track, applied to the State Racing Commission for permission to transfer the Independence Day program to the larger Nassau County track in view of the huge crowd anticipated for the holiday program, which will be highlighted by the 0,000 Brooklyn Handicap. At a meeting held this morning, the commission approved the one-day transfer in the following terms: "In consideration of the fact that the entire net proceeds of this meeting are to be distributed among the American Red Cross, National War Fund and various local charities, the commission has seen fit to grant the request and an amended license will be issued accordingly." The juvenile races on the July 4 program will be run down the Wide-ner straightaway and only seven races will be offered, no steeplechase being programmed.
