! Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 27. Willie Davis, who is serving as patrol judge here, has been named as a member of the official family at Garden State Park. He probably will serve in the same capacity. Former jockey Dee Packer inactive for j some time, will return to action during this meeting as a steeplechase rider. He already j has applied for and deceived his license. Jockey Walter Mann, who arrived here several days ago, and has yet to be seen in action, has become affiliated with the stable of trainer Charles Miles. Charles Lang, son of the former top-notch rider Chick Lang, left for Baltimore, . where he will report for his army physical. He recently was rejected for military service. The juveniles Arden Lad and Bit of America have been shipped to the farm by trainer Johnny Leyland. They will be turned out for a time at G. Ray Brysons El Ray Farm, Kingsville, Md. Acting for owner P. J. Carey, trainer Dabney Harrison has purchased Lord Win and Chicle Clown from Mandel Baird Goff . Jockey Walter Mann, who arrived here several days ago, and has yet to be seen in action, has become affiliated with the stable of trainer Charles Miles. Jockey Shelby Clark, who is enjoying a successful meeting here, will be active in New York during the lay-off on this circuit, which runs from July 5 to July 12. Agent Jerry McNally will accompany him The list of horses destroyed during the current meeting includes Bashoon, War Winner, Gallant Robin and Bold Wando. All are flat horses except the last named, who was destroyed following a spill which occurred while he was being schooled over the jumps.
