Stage War Charities Day At Fair mount on July 4 COLLINSVILLE, 111., June 27.— D. C. Burnett, general manager of the Fairmount Park Jockey Club, announced that July 4 would be known as War Charities Day at Fair-mount Park. All proceeds will be turned over to various organizations. Announcement is expected to come in a few days as to what war charities will benefit from the proceeds of the holiday program. Burnett announced there would be a nine-race card on that day. It has been the custom of the Fair-mount Park Jockey Club to run nine races on Saturdays and holidays with the extra race proceeds going to war charities. Last Saturday was American Red Cross day and a neat sum was turned over to that organization by the local management.
