June 27.— An event for claiming classification entertainers of the ,500-.000 bracket tops tomorrows program of eight races at the Detroit Fair Grounds, and it brings together a group of 12 to match strides over six furlongs for a prize of ,000. Inasmuch as the majority of entrants have already performed here, and some have been right there or thereabouts, the tilt takes on wide open proportions. However, the bulk of the wagering might very well center around Ralph Ellstroms Valdina Loria. in with 107 pounds: E. D. Tal-berts Meneither. who will carry 117 pounds: Dan Lewis Play Bob. weighted with 111 pounds, and perhaps Mrs. E. H. Beezleys Nod. By the way, the latter has turned in a few rather good works lately, and might be "the one to beat. Valdina Loria s recent effort might have stood him in good stead as a tune-up, and Meneither, while beaten in a public appearance a few days ago. had some excuse in that he was carried out early and more or less eliminated. Others Entered Remaining contestants are Blenweed, Airpan. Double Back. Afghanistan, Hopeful Reward. Tetros Jr., Blue Twink and Bold Question. Supporting the principal event, listed sixth, are the fifth and seventh races. The former carries a purse of ,000 and is made up of eight sprinters who should furnish an interesting contest from start to finish of the six furlongs distance. In the seventh, also at six furlongs and valued at ,500. a few past winners at the session engage. Big Albert is one of these, while Everplayful is another. Pretty Plane, who also is in the lot. might attract considerable support off her races at Churchill Downs, and Valdina Hiker has a recommending race here to his record. Rounding out the field is Turkey Foot. Big Wash, Wee One. Vestibula. Bee W Bee, Marie J., Able Marine and She Didnt. Seven sprints are listed. The lone exception is the mile and one-sixteenth final offering in which seven meet. Kentuckiana Stables Sway, third yesterday while closing fast and against practically the same caliber of horses, will doubtless draw quite a bit of support. Waddy, too. might be backed to an extent, as probably will Must Go and Timely Flight. Others entered are Vinita Jack, Grouchers Boy and Prince Govans.
