Va., June 27. — The stewards at Charles Town, today issued the following: ruling:: "After the running: of the third race June 26, Stanley Greene, Jr., owner of the second horse, Mr. Jim, protested the winner Huntlands, claiming: the winner was not eligible for the race. W. J. Berry, trainer of the fourth horse, Stinging Sam, also filed a protest, claiming that the winner Huntlands, and the third horse Juniors Pet were both ineligible. "After an examination of the conditions of the race, we find both Huntlands and Juniors Pet ineligible and the protests are allowed. The purse distribution of the third race June 26, therefore, shall be Mr. Jim, first: Stinging Sam second and Prison Ship third. Signed "The Stewards."
