FOULARD worked his way forward steadily on the inside, responded to vigorous handling during the drive and, after disposing of the leaders, won going away. TURKEY FOOT, never far back but racing wide, finished gamely under urging, but was not good enough for the winner. BARTS CHANCE, away fast and forwardly placed from the start, reached the lead in the stretch, but weakened near the finish. VALDINA SECRET could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. MODEL C. began slowly, but finished fast. JUDY DUNN made the pace to the stretch, then gave way SNAPPY VERSE held on well to the final furlong, then quit badly. BALLACOLAS tired. JOHNS BIRD was done early CHIPPOKES never was prominent. Overweight— Turkey Foot, 2 pounds; Valdina Secret, 1; Model C, 2; Ballacolas, 2; Chippokes, 5. Ballacolas claimed by H. Torriente. BLENHARA raced evenly to the stretch, came between horses in the drive and, disposing of the leaders, held RED TORCH safe. The latter, outrun to the stretch, was forced wide on the finai turn and finished resolutely when straightened up. CRAZY WHIRL raced evenly and had no mishap NIECESUE, much used racing MIMZY into defeat, failed to stay in the final furlong SWEEP PLAY began sluggishly. MIMZY went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from NIECESUE, then bore in badly while tiring. CARASANARA was outrun. DAI YIT, on the outside throughout, came stoutly when set down for the drive, giving a good effort. MY ZACA began fast, raced prominently to the last furlong, then gave way. VESTIBULA began sluggishly. EMPTY PLATE made a good bid entering the stretch, then weakened. LUCKY B. quit after a half mile. TONEYS RULER failed to rally when roused for the drive. YOUNG BUDDY, never far back, swerved to the inside entering the stretch and, after bumping LESTABERT, held the latter safe in the drive. LESTABERT went to the front early, drifted out entering the stretch and, suffering interference when roughed by the winner, could not overhaul the latter. BEL REVERE lacked early speed but finished strongly in a sharp effort. BRUSHWOOD BOY passed tired horses during the stretch run. BLACK FANTASY failed to stay after showing early speed and bore out badly through the final quarter. PRETTY IS raced prominently to the final furlong, then gave way. VALDINA TYRANT began slowly and moved up stoutly after a half mile, but failed to stay thereafter. HOPEFUL REWARD was done early. JUST DAYLIGHT quit badly after racing prominently to the stretch. PLUCKY MUFFIN, a sharp factor from the beginning, established a clear advantage approaching the stretch, then continued gamely, but was unable to withstand the winner. HELENS BOY could not better his position when hard ridden during the final quarter. DEVILSAND began fast, but could not keep up. RED PLUSH gave way after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. SWELL KID, in hand and well ridden to the stretch, came willingly when roused for the drive and, after taking command, held TUMULT safe. The latter, a sharp factor throughout, held on gamely in the drive, but was not good enough for the winner. FOXIOLA went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. MIGHT STEP raced evenly without mishap. BEAUWOLF could not threaten. GIANT STAR did not like the muddy track. OLES GAL began slowly and would not extend herself in the soft footing. Overweight— Foxiola, 5 pounds. Beauwolf claimed by Mrs. M. Eckman. Giant Star claimed by Greenacres Stock Farm. Attendance, 13,608; Total Mutuel Pool, 09,443.
