QUEEN FLASH was waited with closest to the early leader, was taken to the outside entering the stretch, responded well to urging, disposed of AMBER GLOW, then held NAYADA safe. The latter raced in a contending position from the start, moved up under pressure when called upon in the stretch and closed well. AMBER GLOW was sent to the front on the backstretch, opened up a clear lead on the turn, then flattened out when placed to punishment. MISS BUSYBEE lacked early speed, but finished stoutly. BEAUTICIAN, much the best, took a short lead under restraint in the backstretch, drew clear when permitted and continued to draw out easily. PLUCKY BELL was forwardly placed from the beginning, responded to hard urging through the stretch, but was no match for the winner. MISS SIPPI, in a contending position but on the inside, finished stoutly. HALF LIT far back early, closed some ground. MINE0LA MISS was used up chasing the winner and quit. JUDY DUNN was sent to the leaders on the inside immediately after the beginning, saved ground, shook off a stout bid from JOHNS BIRD in the stretch and drew out under urging. JOHNS BIRD, prominent from the beginning and on the outside of the winner, challenged stoutly through the stretch, but was not good enough. FAVORITE TRAP moved into closer contention on the inside in the backstretch, was taken to the outside for the drive and hung. VIANFR improved her position through the stretch, but could not engage the leaders. QUATRE STAR finished well on the outside POLAR EVE raced well in spots.
