Useless Highly Popular Winner in Exile Purse Little Ann Disqualified From Place in Sixth Aqueduct Race BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 7. — Colin Macleods Virginia-bred Useless scored an easy and poular victory in the Exile Purse, best offering of a dullish Aqueduct-at-Belmont program today. The big chestnut son of Pilate took the track at the start anu won by daylight over King Ranchs Full House, while Frank Frankels Fiddlers Three finished third before High Ground Stables Rancor. Seven juveniles disputed the ,000 purse, and, as happened yesterday, the winner of the claimer that opened proceedings stepped five and a half furlongs in faster time. Useless required 1:06, though eased up by Tommy May in the final sixteenth, while Curfew carried his 0,000 claiming tag in 1:05%. The crowd of 21,957 who turned out in warm, slightly sultry weather, was treated to a novelty in the Stagecraft Purse that followed the Exile, when the center-field board and announcer Freddy Caposella indicated that an objection had been lodged against Allen T. Simmons Beedee, the head winner over Woodvale Farms Little Ann. After viewing the motion pictures the stewards disqualified Little Ann from second place. It was explained later that the stewards had interposed the objection because of evident rough riding at the four and a half furlong pole, without specifying that it be against any particular horse. After viewing the movies, the officials disqualified Little Ann for causing a jam at that point. Beedee was ridden by Eddie Arcaro and led from the start, while Little Ann, who was ridden by Conn Mc Creary, forced the pace most of the way and just failed to get up. The winner paid 2.10 and ran the six furlongs in 1:12%. Vera S. Braggs Bohol finished very fast to take third money. The stewards suspended jockey Mc Creary for 10 racing days effective Monday June 10 to Thursday, June 20, inclusive, for causing the interference and indirectly forcing Guerins mount, Orange Blossom, into the rail going into the turn.
