POTEMKIN, away well but unable to keep up, was kept on the outside, rallied to good urging after reaching the last quarter and, wearing down SUNWISE, drew clear. The latter took command quickly, was under pressure the last three-sixteenths and, weakening, could not hold the winner. BAGNELL, a prominent factor from the beginning, also weakened in the late stages. SON WOLF, fractious at the post, was eased back when unable to get through on the inside leaving the backstretch and closed fast in a good effort. MISS BRAND, sluggish early and raced wide, was going well at the end. HYWICK had no mishap. COUSIN MAMIE faitered badly. KEE-HO, away well and having speed, followed the early pacemaking under a good hold, took command under light urging and, continuing well despite a slipping saddle, stalled off SUGAR LUMP. The latter, well in hand to the stretch, made a game effort While racing on the inside in the last three-sixteenths. ROYAL EMPRESS, impeded early, bettered her position gradually in the last three-eighths and was getting to the leaders at the end. TUCKIE had speed, came out slightly in the stretch and weakened when sraightened up. CARLASUE, away slowly and far back to the stretch, where she closed fast, showed a good effort. RHODYS GAL was in close quarters leaving the back-stretch SIXTYS THIRD failed to keep up. EILEENCITA had a rough trip. HOGIE showed little. ONE BLUE, sent to the front under good urging and taken in hand after drawing clear, swerved when shaken up in the stretch, and, again taken in hand in the last eighth, probably had something left. JOES SUN, well up from the start, held on well. CHINA PRINCESS bore out on the turn and closed well after straightening up. LITTLE PRUNE had speed from the start, but tired. COSSACK BOY began slowly and could not get up. GOOD LAKE was never a serious factor FEATHER UP raced wide. EYEFUL showed early speed. One Blue claimed by River Divide Farm. Cossack Boy claimed by E. CINESAR took command under energetic riding, was steadied on the turn, increased his advantage under urging in the stretch, but later weakened and won under pressure. ALAR, timidly handled earlier, went to the outside on the turn, lost additional ground entering the stretch and bore in slightly while closing with a rush. MY SCOTT offered good contention from the beginning and held on fairly well. GAL ANN raced wide and did not rally, yet held on well. HOGAN weakened after moving up in the drive. SYLS BOBBY displayed high speed from the beginning, was briskly roused soon after reaching the stretch and, weakening in the last furlong, was returned to pressure, winning with little left. DEVASTATING, unable to improve her position early, started up on the stretch turn, then came out in the last quarter and closed stoutly. FLIGHT GAL, in hand to the stretch, did not respond to light pressure, yet held on well. MARTHARINE came from far back with a rush on the outside. FIREWORKS closed well under strong hand riding. PLAY GATO gave way fast near the end. MISS TARTAN was sharply taken up in the first quarter. CALM SEAS and SALLY FIN delayed the start. WARF, cleverly handled and having the benefit of the pace, raced under smooth restraint to the stretch, was slow to respond when called upon, but rallied to increased pressure after reaching the last eighth and, wearing down the leaders, appeared ready to draw out. SWEET GIRLIE, taken in hand after the first eighth and saving ground throughout, was under pressure in the last three-sixteenths to hold on gamely. K. HIGH PROOF, also rated to the stretch, took command without need of urging, then weakened. GOBLIN raced wide and showed a good effort from a slow beginning. RECORD MARCH began to weaken after reaching the last three-sixteenths. SPRING DUN was getting to the leaders at the end. GUY H0TTEL swerved early, was kept on the outside and did not threaten.
