Michigan Notes FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., June 7. George Arvin arrived from New York with the W. J. Addison stable, comprising Sir Harry, Kalma, Park Flame, Four Oaks, Mayada, Top Dollar, Red Alice and Florin-cia. E. Gay Drake, master of Mineola Stock Farm, Lexington, Ky., is an arrival and inspected the horses he has quartered here in charge of A. G. Wilson. Sweep Like stands at Mineola and Drake reports that the stallion had a full book this season. Joseph B. Brady came in from Maryland with John Sullis News Caster, Easy Spell, Miss Busy Bee, Reason and Carmelita H. Jockey L. Loveridge accompanied the shipment to Detroit. Jockey Eddie Elam, affiliated with Dixia-na Stable, accepted his first mount of the current meeting on Monday, astride War Fund. Mark Leach, trainer of the Green Acres Farm horses at Detroit, reports there are six foals on the farm near Lexington, Ky. There is a filly by Ten Carat, and the colts are by Okapi, Burgoo King, Gallant Duke and Clock Tower. Trainer N. K. Moody arrived at Detroit from Toronto with three horses, the property of B. Gold. Apprentice Terry Sullivan, affiliated with E. H. Beezley and leading rider at the Detroit meeting, with 10 winners in 10 days, has turned his engagement book over to R. L. Pierce. Jack Welch, manager of Duntreath Farm near Lexington, Ky., is vacationing at Detroit and reports that there are 31 foals on the farm, 20 colts and 11 fillies. He is accompanied by Mrs. Welch. Frank Ferraro arrived at Detroit from Maryland with Inductress, Sip OTea and All Teddy. Jockey Leo Kerr, who topped the riders at meetings in Canada, arrived from Toronto and had his first mount astride W. E. MacDonalds Vice Admiral in Thursdays fourth race. His engagements are being made by Shep Boyce. Jockey George Wallace, affiliated with the Dearborn Stable which is trained by W. L. Dowling, has turned over his engagement book to Jerry Rodriguez. C. R. Gregory is making the engagements for jockey Allan Gray.
