HERE GOES, well placed from the start, went around BALLACOLAS to wear the latter down in the stretch and drew out under pressure. RED PLUSH was a forward factor while racing on the outside, responded to hard urging and finished with a rush. BALLACOLAS had speed to set the early pace, saved ground, but weakened slightly. FOUR DEEP was rushed into contention between horses, moved up threateningly through the stretch, then hung. SEEBEEBEE finished stoutly. SISTER FOX raced evenly. BRAVE BID was unable to threaten. BRIGHT STEEL was hustled to the leaders on the outside on the backstretch, moved into command on the turn, was taken to the inside when clear in the stretch and held DICKS GAL safe. The latter was unable to maintain command after showing early speed, saved ground and challenged stoutly on the inside. PERE MARKETTE, prominent from the start, was used up trying to get to the front and weakened. EASY SPELL improved his position steadily and closed well. SPIRSILLA was unable to engage the leaders. ETNOM, waited with close to the pace of JOHNS PRIDE, was placed to punishment when JOHNS PRIDE was endangered and, responding well, came on to make the issue safe. JOHNS PRIDE was hustled into a clear lead, was steadied in front and held on well. REMBIRD moved into closer contention on the outside on the turn, went slightly wide into the stretch and finished fast. MERRY MARY improved her position between horses and closed gamely. OLDOM-WOOD, away fastest, lacked early speed, but improved his position gradually and closed fast. BEL REVERE was sent into close contention on the turn, made a stout bid in the stretch, then hung. DAI YIT, between horses all the way, could not engage the leaders. SEMPER AVANTI moved up stoutly on the outside on the turn, then flattened out. Overweight— Oldomwood, 1 pound; Betty Grable, 2. PONY EXPRESS was eased back for racing room on the utrn, then closed well. FLAG ANCHOR lacked early speed and closed with a rush. VALDINA TYRANT, outrun early, closed some ground. AIR SAILOR took a short lead immediately after the beginning, shook off RIP AWAY after six furlongs and met the challenge of the winner feebly, but was easily best of the others. BAUMBACH raced evenly throughout and passed beaten horses. KINGARVIE was done after showing only brief speed. RIP AWAY weakened after racing with AIR SAILOR. UNCONDITIONAL broke in a tangle. DIAMOND DICK was unable to improve his position under pressure while racing forwardly all the way. CRACK REWARD weakened after showing early speed. JIMMIE quit badly after showing some speed.
