BOBS PICK, hustled into a short lead and steadied around the turn, came out slightly in the stretch and, holding on well, stalled off EASY TRADE. The latter, well up from the start, had DELORAH in close quarters nearing the turn, continued on the outside in the drive, dropped back suddenly just inside the final eighth, but came again and was wearing down the winner. STATIC CHASER showed a game effort. WISE TIGER, forced very wide by MINT QUEST on the turn, closed boldly through the stretch and may have been best. DELORAH met early interference. TOPNOTCH, much the best and away fastest, was placed under restraint to follow the early pacemaker, took command easily when approaching the stretch and drew out under brisk hand riding. ESPIRITU raced wide, was under pressure after a half and held on in resolute fashion. LT. BILL showed high speed from the start and saved ground, but weakened gradually in the last three-sixteenths. DELEGATE lost ground while working his way into command, cut to the inside on the turn, drew away fast in the stretch and won with something left. MINIVER, away fast, did not keep up when between horses early, was kept under restraint to the last eighth and closed well under energetic riding thereafter. GRAND FELLOW began well, bore out on the turn and tired after reaching the stretch. MOUNTEBANK went out with GRAND FELLOW leaving the backstretch. BALLA-RJTA began well, but was unable to keep up. BLENETTE raced wide from the break, lettered her position slowly while in hand, was hustled into a good lead nearing the last eighth and continued well to the end. FREE SPEECH, far back early and slow to respond, came with a rush on the outside in the fast eighth. TASAJILLO did not keep up early, started to improve his position when nearing the stretch, was responding to punishment when his rider lost his grasp on his whip entering the last eighth and otherwise might have finished closer up. ROTATE weakened gradually in the drive. RED CANTER had speed from the start, but also weakened when placed to pressure. CORYDON began very slowly. SASSY PATRICIA drifted in slightly in the run to the first turn, drew away after reaching the backstretch, was shaken up soon after entering the final quarter and, kept under urging, probably had little left. VALDINA AIDE, well up from the start, was under mild pressure in the last quarter and held on well. TOY-QUAY, far back to the final quarter and forced wide entering the stretch, rallied stoutly when straightened for the final three-sixteenths and was getting to the leaders. SIBLEY, also far back from the start, caused some crowding as he bore out when racing on the inside of BODENS PAL, SOLID MEAT and TOY-QUAY entering the stretch, then failed to threaten when straightened up. COLEY BAY weakened in the final quarter BODENS PAL and SOLID MEAT were tiring when impeded. ROSEMERE CHIEF, in close quarters for a brief time early, gave way badly after reaching the last turn. HISTORIAN followed close to the fast early pace under strong restraint, took command quickly as TIGER REBEL began to falter approaching the stretch, then drew out as his rider rode him energetically the last three-sixteenths. TIGER REBEL displayed good speed from the beginning under restraint, offered no resistance to the winners challenge and drifted out through the stretch. LATE THREAD saved ground in her even effort. TAKE WING, under punishment early, was taken out on the first turn, raced wide thereafter and, dropping back on the final turn, was far back thereafter. Scratched— 99589 Donna Brand, 100. MAXIEKIN, away slowly and dropping far back, saved ground to the final five-eighths, started up on the outside leaving the backstretch, continued in determined fashion after reaching the last quarter and won with something left. BRIEF SIGH, taken under snug restraint before going three-sixteenths, made the pace under good rating to the stretch, did not respond and pulled up lame. SUGAR MAN, under strong restraint to the last quarter, closed well. BABY GOLD made up ground in the stretch, but hung near the end. FLORIZAN ACE had no mishap. SHUT EYE, raced wide from the opening quarter, moved up on the inside of several horses soon after reaching the stretch, then forced his way to the outside to come around the leaders and, overtaking SANDSLINGER, drew out. The latter took command while in hand and held on well, but was not good enough. SPOON BREAD, strongly restrained to the stretch, closed resolutely. WIRE QUEST weakened after racing well to the last three-sixteenths. TUTELO was tirino, when lightly impeded in the drive. SO PROUDLY weakened suddenly after showing speed to the last three-eighths.
