OUR BOSS lacked early speed, was forced to race on the extreme outside to improve his position on the turn and was up in the final stride. ECOMODATE was hustled to the front at once, retained a short lead while racing on the outside of FANNIE MAC, withstood a stiff challenge from the latter through the stretch and just failed to last. FANNIE MAC was sent to the leader in the backstretch and, on the inside, made a bold bid through the stretch, then hung on stubbornly. SKI DAD, a trailer early, closed with a rush between horses. G00DF0RME had early speed while on the outside, but weakened. EVER STAR was unable to engage the leaders. BABY SNUFF was in close quarters behind horses in the stretch. SECOND RACE 5-8 MILE. BUCK WEAVER improved his position steadily on the outside, secured room near the rail to move through entering the stretch and withstood a stiff challenge from TEEGREETZA. The latter, prominent from the beginning, went through on the inside for the drive and fought it out stubbornly. SEA PIGEON, always forwardly placed, but on the outside, finished well. WAR FUND was in close quarters on the turn and finished well when clear. FLYING JENNY had good early speed while setting the pace, but weakened and bore out slightly. HOLIDAY HUMOR raced evenly. MEMORY BOSS, very sluggish early while trailing, secured room on the inside to make her bid through the stretch and, finishing fast, wore down GRAND FLASH. The latter, rated within reach of the early leaders, moved up stoutly to take command inside the furlong pole, but could not withstand the winner. DOC YAK, forced to race on the outside, finished well between horses. BE GONE raced forwardly and evenly and held on well. LOW BID could not threaten. DENTAL CHAIR quit after showing early speed. FASHION PLAY flashed early speed, then quit badly. Overweight— Memory Boss, 3 pounds; Dental Chair, 2; Fashion Play, 3. Grand Flash claimed by W. E MacDonald. Dental Chair claimed by Mrs. A. C.
