IRON DON, away fast and having speed, held a forward position under light restraint to the stretch, made his bid gradually and, wearing down MIGRATION, won drawing out. MIGRATION took command while in hand, but could not withstand the winner. LIMITATION lunged slightly at the start, but went close to the early leaders while losing ground and held on fairly well. SHE SHE closed fast. INVERETTE, never far back, did not respond to urging after reaching the stretch. IN SILVER was held safe. RIDGEGATE began fast, but was unable to keep up. FAIR SAND, never a great distance back and between horses on the turn, cut to the inside in the stretch, took command under good urging, then drew away while winning handily. BITTER QUILL, away fast but unable to keep up and forced to race wide, was inclined to bear in through the stretch, placing his rider at a disadvantage and might otherwise have finished closer. DEVILS FROLIC offered good contention from the beginning, stumbled slightly entering the last furlong and finished well when straightened on the inside. LIASON held on well and was getting to the leaders. DUKES PAL showed speed to the last three-sixteenths. KHAMSEENS BOY delayed the start. HYWICK showed only a flash of early speed. SON WOLF eased himself soon after the start and was far back thereafter. ALAR, alertly handled, assumed command early, held a clear lead when settled in the stretch, drifted out when ridden out and lasted to withstand CHERRIKO. The latter improved her position steadily in the first half mile, was sent to the outside for the drive and, bothered slightly by the winner, could not overhaul ALAR, although easily best of the others. SIERRA JEAN, never far back and on the outside to the stretch, failed to stay when set down for the drive. SONS STYLE, on the extreme outside, could not better his position when briskly ridden through the stretch. LETTER V had no mishap. HOP PICKER could not keep up. HIGH HOPE, on the outside and outrun in the stretch, passed tired horses during the drive. LADY WELCH could not better her position under brisk handling. MEMPHIAN began fast, but failed to stay after showing early speed. SABLE STAR gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. ZESTFUL drifted out while tiring during the stretch run. HANDY LAD came to the outside for the drive and finished determinedly under punishment, but could not threaten the winner. CHESTY, a keen factor from the beginning, held on well in a good effort. MERRY-MARCH, forced to take up sharply on the upper turn, moved up stoutly when clear, but failed to stay during the final furlong SILVERY MOON, slow to begin and lacking early speed, closed willingly under punishment. CALM PORT had early speed. ROYAL RISK was outrun. IRON CITY was done after racing prominently to the stretch. SERGEANT BILL, away well, quit badly in the drive.
