To Take Split Samples at California Tracks HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 10.— Loyd Wright, chairman of the California Horse Racing Board, announced today that hereafter urine samples taken from horses in this state will be divided, with one half sealed and put in refrigeration for safekeeping and the other half going to state chemists for analysis. If the portion analyzed by the state chemist shows positive, the other half of the sample will be analyzed and the owner and trainer of the horse in question will be allowed to have their own private chemist participate in the duplicate analysis along with the chemists representing the racing board.
