Bulky Field of Nineteen In Bunker Hill Handicap Spangled Game, Ellis, West Fleet Seek New England Holiday Stake SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 15. Nineteen horses were named through the entry box this morning for the twelfth running of the 0,000 Bunker Hill Handicap, one mile event for middle distance performers which will feature the holiday program here on Monday, thus making one of the largest entries to be made for any stakes race at this course in recent years. The large field should bring out a gala holiday throng because of Bunker Hill Day, commemorating as it does the battle of Bunker Hill in nearby Charlestown, a section of Boston, is widely celebrated hereabouts. Whil Spangled Game, who races for che partnership of Mrs. Ray Metcalf and the Ber Mar Farm, will be the highweight of the field with 121 pounds aboard, A. F. Plocks Ellis, who gets in with 119 pounds, probably will be sent to the post as a slight favorite, as he is highly regarded by han-dicappers. Right close up to the four-year-old son of Chrysler II. in the wagering will be H. Ted Darlings West Fleet, winner of the 0,000 Plymouth Rock Handicap, at six furlongs on opening day, and the aforementioned Spangled Game also a winner here. West Fleet gets in with 120 pounds. The Longchamps Farm stable has entered a pair, Apropiado and Bill Hardey. The latter was a winner here at a mile and a sixteenth on Friday, but the main hope of that establishment will be Apropiado. H. Guy Bedwell, veteran Maryland owner and trainer, also named two, Sollure and Hammer-Lock, both winners at this meeting.
