Won driving; second and third the same. J0PIER broke alertly, remained in close attendance of the pace, moved through on the inside to engage ELLEN MIST after three furlongs, assumed command and was kept going under steady pressure to hold MR. JINX safe. The latter, slow to settle in best stride, moved between horses leaving the half-mile pole, was in close quarters, then closed stoutly when clear. PRIMUS, well up on the outside, showed a good effort. ELLEN MIST weakened after showing keen early speed. SUN CLOCK passed tiring horses. CELTICS faltered In the stretch. NEAT KEE drew into a clear early lead, saved ground and was kept going under steady urging. CZECH LASS, taken back off the early pace, moved to the leader when ready, challenged for command repeatedly in the final furlong, but was unable to pass the leader. SAYONARA lacked early speed, then closed with a rush. BELLCODA, forwardly placed, was bearing in all through the stretch. MISS OBLOCKY, well up from the beginning, faltered under a drive. CROTCHETY, reserved off the pact for three furlongs, was sent through on the inside to take command, drew clear and came out slightly, lost command momentarily to DAUBERS GIRL, then came again under steady urging. The latter moved with a rush on the inside to stave off the late bid of the winner. CHANCE SORD broke alertly, forced the pace, then faltered under the drive. NOISILY was well up from the start In a good effort. ANDREA KAY assumed command on the inside after a quarter mile, but was unable to keep up when the field bunched and was shuffled back on the final turn. AMPERAGE weakened. NAVY FLYER, the early leader, was taken back under light restraint while WISE TIGER set the pace, rallied when set down to regain the lead leaving the furlong pole and began drifting out WISE TIGER went to the front after a half mile, was under stout restraint while setting the pace and held on gamely, but was not good enough. POMPAGLE failed to respond to a steady drive. WILL MARKHAM made up ground in the late stages. GREMY went evenly. SUN TALK, well up on the outside, flattened out when set down. HY-CHARLIE disposed of NOWADAYS in the first quarter, saved ground and maintained advantage under a snug hold. RESPIRE was sent up on the inside nearing the far turn to enter contention, raced very wide entering the stretch, carrying NOWADAYS out, then was straightened and closed gamely. PRINCE FAVOR saved ground entering the stretch to draw closest to the leader, then flattened out. SPIRSILLA showed an even effort. TIM B. made up ground in the final stages. WAR PAGE was unable to keep up. NOWADAYS held a clear lead soon after the start and was going well after being displaced, then lost all chance when carried out. BRAVE BID, forwardly placed on the inside, was under stout restraint for six furlongs, moved through on the inside when set down to draw into command and widened under light urging. LORD CAPRICE improved position steadily to finish stoutly on the outside. VAN OR, weakly handled at the start, dropped out of contention early, raced on the outside to the stretch turn, then was sent to the inside to finish willingly. DUDIE set the pace under a snug hold, then faltered when set down. SHOOT FIRST made up ground in the late stages. PLACERVILLE had no excuse. JOES MISTAKE was never a serious factor. ROYAL WING disposed of EVER-PLAYFUL after a half mile, drew into a long lead, was taken out in the better going and was never in danger. DUCHESS MYRNA, in closest attendance after a half mile, held on gamely, but was no match for the winner. YLEE BAR closed with a rush in the last half mile. WHITE HOPE had no mishap. GREEN LOG dropped back on the far turn and came again under urging, then flattened out. JACOPO MEXICO was not good enough. EVERPLAYFUL was not persevered with when beaten.
