TOWN HALL, under restraint early, moved into closer contention readily, swung to the outside to take command entering the stretch and drew clear to win with something in reserve. GRAPE LINE was sent to the front and steadied there, then gave way to the winner, but held on stubbornly. PHANTOM TOWN closed a good gap from a slow beginning and finished boldly. UNITRAN lacked early speed, but finished well. KHAMSEENS BOY trailed early and made up some ground in the late stages. SPREAD EAGLE could not keep up. HOODOO LADY had speed to the stretch, then quit.
