THUNDER ECHO had speed while racing with the winner in the lead, but could not match the bid of AFTER EIGHT, though holding on well PUFFED UP moved into closer contention with a rush on the outside in the backstretch, but was unable to threaten the first two. JUDY DUNN raced evenly, but was unable to improve her position. MISS TEXAS could not enter serious contention. SILVER STYLE fell back steadily. ROSE CANYON closed some ground in the late stages. BRILLIANT 4R. was unable to engage the leaders at any stage and flattened out under pressure. TRY FLIGHT quit badly after showing early speed.
