LOTOFTOWN, well handled, assumed command at once, established a clear lead and retained his advantage without need of urging. PLAY AGAIN improved position steadily and finished determinedly under brisk handling. WE HOPE, on the outside to the stretch, could not get to the leaders when set down in the drive. LITTLE XS engaged LOTOFTOWN to the last eighth, then weakened. BENEELOBE broke sluggishly, bore out badly and lost all chance. TECHNICOLOR had brief speed. SECOND RACE 6 1-2 FURLONGS out of chute. YOUNG BUDDY, never far back and well handled, came between horses to take command entering the stretch, then held his advantage when ridden out. LUCKY B. saved ground to the stretch, came willingly when set down in the drive, but could not reach YOUNG BUDDY.. THUNDER HOOF went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then faltered. FRISKY SPIRIT began slowly, but finished fast. CAMPANULA raced evenly without mishap. MR. MEL was outrun. SWEET COMET gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. BLACK FANTASY had early speed. SPRING FIESTA raced evenly in a sharp effort. MASICO LAD engaged TURF to the stretch, then weakened. CHICALMO saved ground throughout and could not better position when roused for the drive. GLIDER PILOT was outrun. LITTLE TOUCH tired. GAY JUDY began poorly. FIFTEENTH broke sluggishly MISS TAYSTEE quit badly after showing brief speed. FAY FOO, away fast, dropped back after the start, moved up resolutely when roused nearing the stretch and, after taking command, drew out to win with something left. AMERICAN EAGLE, outrun to the final quarter, finished determinedly, but could not threaten FAY FOO. TAWNY LADY weakened after engaging BOYISH LOVE to the stretch. The latter made the pace to the half, then gave way. SEALANE raced wide. AZURE WINGS was outrun. SAKU began slowly. PRINCE AETHEL, weakly handled, could not keep up. CARPET SWEEP had early speed, but failed to stay. BLACK PEPPER was done early and appeared distressed at the finish. Overweight— Boyish Love, 1 pound. Corrected weight— Carpet Sweep, 108. CIRCUS CLOWN, forwardly placed from the beginning, made a good bid entering the stretch, then faltered. GEE WHIZ, outrun to the final quarter, came out for the drive and finished very fast under urging. TIGER FLASH, bumped in the stretch, failed to threaten thereafter. HYPOSTYLE gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. SCIPIO had a rough trip. BIG DITCH was outrun. LENOIL could not keep up after showing early speed. The latter went to the front early, made the pace under good rating and held on well through the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. BERT engaged BIG BROTHER until inside the stretch, then quit. CHOPPY SEA began slowly. CASTEL BEAU Was outrun.
