Rico Montes Effort Impressive PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 10. — Rico Montes return to activity, after a lay-off since last fall when he won the Pimlico Cup, was an impressive one. Trainer, H. A. Luro, while unable to beat Assault in the Dixie, none the less sent out a fit entry for Arnold Hanger and R. N. Ryan when Rico Monte and Talon took down second and third honors in this historic stake. Rico Monte was beaten only half a length for all the money and with that race under his belt should be a .formidable addition to the handicap ranks. He was thrown out of action at Hialeah with a foot injury, received when he engaged in a workout while improperly shod.
