Randall Horsemens Committee Meets With Blacksmiths Today RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 19. — Following a conference held here this morning between officers of this racing association, racing officials and a representative of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, in regards to demands by blacksmiths for continuance of awards, it was decided to defer action until appointment of a horsemens committee to meet with aforementioned officials tomorrow. Richard Ferris, representative of the HBPA, who journeyed here from Lexington, will call a meeting of horsemen this afternoon to name the committee. Local unionized farriers have requested that they be given a bonus of 5 for each winner shod. This is against the statement carried in the book of racing conditions, to the effect that no awards would be given.
