Bosox Goodman Hurts Ankle BOSTON, Mass., May 1 UP. — First Baseman Billy Goodman, of the Boston Red Sox, was sidelined indefinitely by an ankle injury today and the American League team summoned big Walt Dropo from the Louisville Colonels to replace him. X-rays disclosea that Goodman suffered a chip fracture on the outside of his left ankle yesterday when he jammed his foot c on first base.
