Oma to Claim Heavy Title If Ezzard Fails Physical By the United Press Lee Oma put in a claim today for the National Boxing Association version of the heavyweight title, providing champion Ezzard Charles does not pass a physical test scheduled before the Illinois Boxing Commission here today. Oma, who fights Bob Satterfield here May 17, asked for consideration through his manager, Tex Sullivan, who talked with commissioner Joseph Triner today. He based his claim on his current string of 16 straight victories and the fact that the NBA has rated him number two heavyweight behind Charles. Charles will be examined here by the commission doctor, J. M. Houston, and several heart specialists called in by Triner to assist.
