Anderson Named Coach Of College All-Stars By the United Press Dr. Eddie Anderson, who resigned last winter as head football coach at the University of Iowa and was hired soon afterward by Holy Cross College, was chosen today to coach the College All-Stars in the 1950 All-Star game. The All-Stars wiU play the Philadelphia Eagles, champions of the National Football League, here the night of August 11 at Soldiers Field. Anderson coached at Iowa from 1939 through 1949, except for the war years. He previously had coached at Holy Cross where he amassed a record of 47 victories against seven defeats" and two ties from 1933 to 1938. At Iowa his teams won 35, lost 33 and tied two.
